Manny Pacquiao Says Goodbye to Boxing & Hello to Politics

Boxing champion Manny Pacquiao will soon be hanging his boxing gloves because he wants to focus on his political career.

Last Sept.9, Pacquiao announced that he planned to run for vice president in the 2016 presidential elections.

Meanwhile, in 2013 elections, Pacquiao will first attempt to run for the gubernatorial seat of Sarangani.

Pacquiao first tried politics in 2007, where he lost the congressional seat of South Cotabato’s first district to incumbent General Santos City Mayor Darlene Antonino-Custodio.

On the other hand, Pacquiao and Marquez have just finished their World Press Tour at Mexico City. They will be back to their home bases to continue their respective trainings. The Pacquiao-Marquez 3 bout is scheduled on Nov. 12 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
