Mother Lily Monteverde is open to the idea of casting James Yap in the remake of ‘Last Two Minutes’.
She is willing to produce a film which would star Yap.
Monteverde believes Yap can give justice to the film, which could also mean the start of his show business career.
But Yap said he believes he’s still not ready to go into acting for the big screen and he wants to undergo a workshop first.
The ‘Last Two Minutes’ was a 1990 basketball-inspired movie starring basketball legends Alvin Patrimonio, Jerry Codiñera, and Paul Alvarez in which comedian Roderick Paulate played the role of a coach.
The PBA players were paired with Aiko Melendez, Carmina Villaroel and Ruffa Gutierrez.
James Yap has been awarded PBA Most Valuable Player twice and he is the estranged husband of Kris Aquino.
