The late actor Fernando Poe Jr. would have been 73 today.
Some people are asking, could he be the president of the Philippines in 2005?
The recent revelations show from the alleged perpetrators of the game that FPJ was most likely robbed of the presidency.
To give him a comfort, he was awarded the ‘National Artist for Film’ through Representative Gloria Arroyo’s Proclamation No. 1065 last May 24, 2006.
Fernando Poe’s is Ronald Allan Poe y Kelley-Gatbonton. He was born on Aug. 20, 1939 in Manila. He was the son of actor-producer-director Fernando Poe Sr. of San Carlos City, Pangasinan and Bessie Gatbonton Kelley of Candaba, Pampanga.
He finished primary education in 1953 at San Beda College and went to San Sebastian College, Mapua Institute of Technology, and University of the East.
When his father died, he dropped out of school to work and support his family, working odd jobs, as a cleaner, a messenger boy and a stuntman, before becoming a full-time actor.
FPJ was the husband of actress Susan Roces, one of the lead stars of TV’s ‘Babaeng Hampaslupa’.
