Monroe’s Costume is Auctioned for $4.6M

The dress of Marilyn Monroe that she wore in the film ‘The Seven Year Itch was auctioned.

The costume fetched an unbelievable price of $4.6M at an auction of memorabilia

In the film where Monroe used the said costume, her character is cooled off by standing over the subway, to catch the breeze as the train sped underneath.

It exposed her leg and undergarment for that 1955 movie.

The price of the costume surpassed the $1.26M paid for the dress Monroe used when she sang Happy Birthday to President John F. Kennedy.

It become the most expensive film costume sold.
