‘No Kiss at Abbey Altar’, During Royal Wedding

The Royal Wedding of Prince William of Wales and Catherine ‘Kate’ Middleton will be on April 29.

After the ceremony and the exchange of rings, ‘there will be no kiss’ at the Westminster Abbey altar.

The church forbids, ‘you may kiss the bride’. It is a sort of a Hollywood thing.
You can not do that in the Church of England.

In the Royal family, kissing is also a serious thing and must be done in an appropriate situation.

During the wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana, the royal couple did not kiss in the church. They did it in the balcony of Buckingham Palace, as thousands of well-wishers screamed for the newlyweds.

That same situation, may happen again in William and Kate’s wedding.
The only difference, this time it may be scripted and part of the planned event.
