Ex-PBA Player Bong Alvarez is Caught in a Drug Session

Ex-PBA player Paul ‘Bong’ Alvarez was arrested by the authorities in a drug session in a barbershop in Quezon City.

Some policemen went to the barber shop to serve an arrest warrant on him for a case of slight physical injury but Bong was caught with two other individuals in Sikatuna Village last June 3, 2017. He said that he was in a drug session.

On May 2016, the former PBA star says that he has been knocking on the door of alma mater San Sebastian for quite some time now.

Bong Alvarez wants to go into coaching, he wanted to give back to a sport that had been so good to him, if only he is given the chance.

Bong is the man known for his dazzling plays and aerial artistry during his days, as the PBA’s ‘Mr. Excitement.’

Now, he is dying to get involved in basketball again through coaching at the college level.

He has no prior experience in handling a team in leagues as competitive as the UAAP or NCAA but he believes his name and the reputation he built as one of the most talented players of his era, would be good enough to qualify him as such.

Clearly, the controversies he became involved in late in his career and during his post-basketball days continue to hound him.

Bong failed to handle his responsibility when he had power and fame.

Sometime on December 2007, former actress Almira Muhlach finally gives up on her husband, former basketball player Bong, by filing a restraining order against him because of his violent fits.

Almira was already so fed up with her husband’s violent ways that she has decided to leave their home together with her children.

Eventually, their mess was settled with the help of their friends and relatives.

Bong is now currently in the cargo forwarding business.
