A year ago, Dingdong Dantes said that entering politics is not in his immediate plans.
During that time, he was focused on his fatherhood but eventually, he decides that he might enter government service, provided he will get the support of his wife, actress Marian Rivera.
Dingdong says he is open now to career in politics and to whatever he can do to help the country.
He is also open to leveling up his commitment in contributing in nation building regardless of what it is.
Dantes was appointed commissioner-at-large of the National Youth Commission during former president Benigno Aquino III’s administration. He was also a staunch supporter of the Liberal Party.
There’s no official talks yet about his entering into politics yet and he denied rumors that the Liberal Party is already grooming him for the 2019 midterm polls.
Right now, Dantes said his focus is in ‘Case Solved,’ a procedural crime documentary drama that aims to deliver awareness to viewers and educate them in crime prevention.
His project like Case Solved’ this time in his career, brings a message that he has to level up his commitment in public service and not just in entertainment
Dantes started out as a member of dance group ‘Abstract Dancers.’ He never thought that he would make it big in the entertainment industry. He was only doing it more for fun.
The actor said he is thankful for the wonderful opportunities given to him. He also stressed how blessed he was to be working alongside great actors and actresses who, according to him, helped him become the star he is now.
