Charice Pempengco is one of the latest entries in the current edition of the Guinness World Records.
Charice is back, after a series of negative controversies about her and her decision to come out as a lesbian.
The international singing sensation is now listed in the Guinness World Record as the ‘youngest winning judge’ in the ABS-CBN’s local adaptation of ‘The X Factor Philippines.’
The 58-year-old world book of records has recognized Charice’s single-season stint at the local version of the said singing reality show.
Charice was the youngest of the local judges, which also included Pilita Corales, Martin Nievera, and Gary Valenciano.
She mentored KZ Tandingan, who was eventually declared as the first ever winner of the local version of the competition.
In the Guinness entry, Charice was 20 years old and 150 days old last year, when she served as the mentor of a contestant.
It was also in that competition where she met Alyssa Quijano, who later became her girlfriend.
It turned out that Charice and Alyssa had known each other years before because they were often contestants in singing competitions, where Charice almost always wins.
Charice braced headlines in the country when she announced that she is a lesbian.
This admission caused her falling out with her family, who had been advising her not to come out.
Charice is currently out of the country to do a series of shows in North America.
She is set to return home this month and launch her new local album.
