Vic Sotto is Offered to Star in a Comedy Sitcom on Channel 2?

Kris Aquino surprised everyone during the recent ‘My Little Bossings’ press launch.

Aquino is courting Vic Sotto to continue the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry from the big screen to the boob tube.

The Queen of all Media revealed that ABS-CBN’s standing offer to comedian Sotto to star in a comedy sitcom on Channel 2.

Kris convinced Vic to have a meeting.

When pressed for further information on the said TV project, Kris immediate response was ‘he’ll kill me’ followed by a big grin.

Kris said Vic is aware of the said offer.

The idea of him starring in a sitcom on channel 2 started when the 59-year-old host guested on Kris’ former game show ‘Game Ka Na Ba’ back in 2002.

It was ABS-CBN Channel head Cory Vidanes who initially offered Vic to appear regularly on the network.

It was falling into place but that was also the time ng re-negotiations with GMA, and tinapatan.

So hindi natuloy yung sa ABS kahit naka-dalawa hanggang tatlong meetings na,” Kris said.

The TV host reminded Vic of the said project but, according to her, the comedian replied: ‘Kris baka pwede munang tapusin natin ito then mamaya na lang yan.’

Sabi ko ‘They’re going to pay you a lot’. Tapos relax (lang siya) and ibang iba, so sabi ko ‘okay’.

Lumulugar siya and sabi ni Kris Kung kelan na lang siya ready.

Kung ayaw niya e di okay lang. If he wants to continue, gusto ko yung grupong ito ang sumubaybay na sa paglaki niya (Bimby),” she said.

Although Vic is hosting noon-time variety show Eat Bulaga, which is being produced by TAPE Incorporated, and maintains Vampire Ang Daddy Ko, he has not signed an exclusive network contract with GMA-7.

He is free. Wala naman siyang network contract with anybody and Ryzza Mae Dizon is also free.

Kung gusto niyang ituloy ito at kumportable siya, they will do it, Kris said.

Meanwhile, the Queen of Talk did not answer when asked if she has already entered into a new deal with ABS-CBN after her contract expired last October.

The TV host said it is a long process and they are still talking on it.

Boy Abunda said that make sure you have enough cash and that you can walk away from everybody.

She has learned talaga na if she stops working tomorrow, the kids should be alive.

Maybe not as lavish as we are now but they will survive, she said.

Kris added that she has already invested in other businesses not related to the entertainment.
