On Monday, former host of ‘Face to Face’ joins ABS-CBN’s ‘Umagang Kay Ganda.’
Perez was welcomed by the ‘UKG’ hosts Bianca Gonzales, Ariel Ureta, Zen Hernandez, Bernadette Sembrano and Anthony Taberna.
Kapamilya stars such as Zsa Zsa Padilla, Jed Madela, Vina Morales, Nikki Gil, Yeng Constantino, Julia Montes, Maja Salvador, Enrique Gil, Gerald Andersdon and Vice Ganda also welcomed Perez, also known as ‘Chang Amy,’ in the show via a taped message.
Amy said ‘Sobrang saya ko talaga. Natuwa lang ako talaga. Maraming salamat.’
‘Kabado pero masaya! Thank you @ukgdos sa warm welcome mwah,’ Perez wrote in a Twitter post.
Meanwhile, Amy said that concluding her three-year stint at TV5 was rather painful
The 44-year-old host was referring to the production staff of the reality talk show ‘Face to Face,’ which she hosted for over three years.
What happened really was after she gave birth last January, she went back to all her shows when her executive producer asked her if she can tape 4 episodes in a day.
The TV host said she begged off from the jampacked taping schedule because she was not yet physically and psychologically prepared to handle the show full blast.
She just gave birth and CS (caesarian section) for the first time and she had a post-partum depression.
According to Amy, this did not sit well with ‘Face to Face”’executive producer Nel San Luis.
The mother of three also clarified that she never asked the network to fire the production staff
Amy related that, looking back, leaving TV5 is the best possible option.
The TV host also said that when her TV5 career ended, a new window of opportunity opened for her in ABS-CBN.
The TV host is reunited with her former ‘Magandang Tanghali Bayan’ co-host Roderick Paulate to host the remake of “’inging Bee.’
Cesar Montano hosted the said singing game show from 2008 to 2010.
