Willie Revillame announces that he will host a new show in 2013.
The announcement was greeted by booming applause from the live audience.
At the end of January, he will leave his current show ‘Wil Time Bigtime.’
The show will be moved from evening to noontime and reincarnated as ‘Wowowillie’ in time for Revillame’s 52nd birthday on January 27.
From Novaliches, it will now be aired with a new set from TV5’s Delta Theatre studio, to make the venue more accessible for his fans.
‘Wil Time Bigtime’ is a two-year-old show which is formerly known as ‘Willing Willie.’
It is Revillame’s biggest project with the Kapatid network since he transfers in 2010.
Revillame promises that the new show will have original segments like ‘Born to Be a Star’ and games in which he will give bigger prizes.
Willie will also go the extra mile in giving assistance to the needy.
Revillame said that by the time he turns 52 on Jan. 27, the new studio with new equipments for the new show will likely be in place.
He assured that his audience will not feel sleepy because the show will occupy a new timeslot.
Meanwhile, it can be recalled that in the October monthly ratings data from Kantar Media, ‘Wil Time Big Time’ had only a rating of only 4.4%.
It was below the ratings of its primetime rivals and it was only ranked at No. 17 among the top primetime programs on weekdays.
During that time, the ABS-CBN’s ‘Walang Hanggan’ was the top primetime program in October with a rating of 22.7%.
