Cesar Montano has politely rejected an appointment by President Noynoy Aquino naming him as a member of the Optical Media Board headed by fellow actor Ronnie Ricketts.
Although Montano is honored and grateful for the appointment coming from no less than the President himself, he thinks being on the board is not his cup of tea.
Maybe his other fellow actors are capable and suitable for the position.
The OMB is currently being headed by Ronnie Ricketts. The government’s anti-piracy agency was initially headed by Bong Revilla, followed by Edu Manzano.
Montano says he’d be more interested if he were offered a position in line with arts and culture.
Montano also recently turned down an offer to co-star with John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo in an ABS-CBN teleserye because of conflict in schedule as he’s slated to start a new international film, ‘Getting to America,’ after ‘Hitman.’
In ‘Hitman,’ Montano is acting opposite Phillip Salvador, Sam Pinto and Mark Herras and his son, Diego Loyzaga Montanoa, a star in ‘Mara Clara.’
