Robin Padilla’s Movie ‘Mr. Wong’ is Withdrawn as MMFF Entry

Robin Padilla, the action star, confirmed that his movie ‘Mr. Wong’ will no longer be a part of the 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival.

Padilla said he decided to pull out from this year’s MMFF race to give way to ER Ejercito’s film ‘Manila Kingpin: The Untold Story of Asiong Salonga.’

Padilla’s move would hopefully settle the controversy over an earlier announcement that his team could not finish its entry in time for the December festival.

His wife seems to be disappointed by his decision to withdraw his entry but Mariel understands his decision.

Since his entry is removed from the race, to give way to Ejercito’s ‘El Presidente’, Padilla is requesting Ejercito to reimburse the P500,0000 he paid as security deposit.

Mariel Rodriguez is now part of TV5’s ‘Wil Time Bigtime.’
