Gab Valenciano said he is now in the process of moving on after his separation with wife, model Tricia Centenera.
In an interview, the television personality said the new year signals a new chapter for his life.
Valenciano also refrained from answering questions about the supposed third party that caused the end of his marriage with Centenera.
He had his fair share of shortcomings when it comes to infidelity.
He’s trying to leave it at 2016 and 2017 is a brand new year, even for her former wife.
Gab believes mistakes are meant to happen, to reflect, and then to move forward.
That’s where he stands at the moment, which is to move forward,” he said.
Valenciano added that he’s just thankful that they’ve reached that point where they can talk again.
He said the communication lines are opened and they even discussed seeing other people.
He feels so blessed that he can actually contact her and she can contact him comfortably.
They actually talked about seeing other people.
There’s also that openness so, they are at that stage that both of them are already okay.
When further pressed if there’s a chance for them to get back together, Valenciano said love is not enough.
He said understanding, patience, perseverance, faithfulness and trust are fundamental in every relationship and love is not enough.
In this case, love really needed all the support.
Valenciano added that he does not regret loving Centenera and even though the relationship ended in a break up, he vowed to always support his ex-wife.
He always wishes her the best.
He also wants to see Centenera happy. He still loves her in terms of he wants to see her succeed, to see her well and he will do everything in his power to help support her.
The couple decided to part ways in September last year.
In a previous interview with Centenera, the model said she doesn’t think a second chance and love is possible between them.
Valenciano and Centenera tied the knot on March 27, 2015. The wedding was attended by their closest family and friends at Tagaytay Highlands.
It was followed by a beach wedding in Boracay.
