Actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith will remain a TV5 Princess after she inked another three-year exclusive deal with the network.
Present during the contract signing were TV5 President Noel Lorenzana, Entertainment Head Wilma Galvante and manager Betchay Vidanes.
According to Galvante, it will be a busy 2014 for the 19-year-old as she will be starring in her own primetime drama series and will be featured in a couple of movie projects and will also try her hand in hosting.
Jasmine said she will work hard and hand-in-hand with the station to produce quality shows for the viewing public.
She added that it is always been her choice to renew her contract with TV5 as it also showed loyalty to her.
She felt content with TV5 and she knows and will feel good there.
And why leave kung maganda naman ‘yung biyahe sa network, she said.
In the past three years na nakasama niya yung TV5, nakita niya na kahit dalawa (work and studies) ‘yung priorities niya nun, hindi sila nag-give up sa pagbibigay sa kanya ng trabaho everytime na nasa bansa siya.
Gusto miyang bumawi with all the love na ibinigay nila sa kanya.
For her first project, Jasmine will be featured in a one-hour primetime drama series which will be directed by her ‘Puti’ director Mike Alcazaren.
It will be produced by Studio 5, Saatchi & Saatchi and Unitel Productions.
It was also confirmed by Galvante that there is plan for Jasmine to star opposite the Superstar Nora Aunor.
That’s something na she wants na matuloy because she’s a renowned actress and she’s such an icon.
It would be nice to get tips from her, she said.
Now that she cements her ‘TV5 Princess’ title, Jasmine said she’s not pressured to compete with other stars of her own age from the industry.
She’s confident that she has her own brand to offer and has something to share to the audience.
Jasmine said, they all deliver different things to the audience and they all have a different markets.
She just wants to focus on her and her shows. It’s no competition at all. Trabaho lang.
Right now, she is hopeful that her independent film ‘Transit’ will receive support for the Academy Awards.
